B2S Study Tips

The school year has now began and we will all need to study for tests and exams so here are a few of my study tips:

     1.    Increase your motivation
When you are motivated you set yourself goals that you want to achieve allowing you to work hard to accomplish those goals. Also, when you are motivated you have a drive to do well in everything you do, which makes you not want to give up. A way to motivate yourself is to set a target, something you want to achieve in the next month or year. Another way to motivate yourself is to be competitive; to compete with others and especially yourself. Being competitive gives you the energy to keep going and gives you a reason to continue, especially when you succeed.
     2.    Time management
When studying, it is important to manage your time well, to meet your deadlines and not need to stress out last minute. A way of managing your time is to make lists. Write out the things you have to do that day or week so you can keep track of your tasks; crossing them off as you get them done. Another time management tip is to do the task/ assignment the day you get it, or as soon as possible so that you can work on it and if you have problems you have enough time to ask or research it.
     3.    Studying
When studying, never procrastinate. Do what you need to do and get it over and done with. Don’t have any interruptions or distractions. Don’t have any gadgets next to you that will not allow you to concentrate. Furthermore, stick to your deadlines. If you have an assignment that needs to be done by a certain date, set yourself a due date before the date given to you; this will allow you to proof read your work and get it checked before handing it in. Lastly, when studying don’t forget to reward yourself. Also, when studying you can play music in the background, something that you can’t sing along to and get distracted by.
     4.    Concentration
Take a break at least every 30 minutes. Have a snack, go outside or sit and use your phone. Just don’t do work for 5 minutes because when you get back to work you will absorb more and you will be able to concentrate more. Also, if you cannot concentrate or you don’t feel motivated, just remember the reason why you kept going from the beginning.
     5.    Space
Make sure you have sufficient space when studying. It is important to have a clean area where you studying because as they say if you have a messy table then you will have messy thoughts. Another tip is to keep where you study and where you sleep separate. This is important because if you study on your bed you may fall asleep; also your bed wont feel like a place of comfort, it will just feel like your study area.

I hope these study tips will help you out.
Have a lovely day.
