Birthday Madness
Hi Cuties,
It is officially 3 more days till I enter a new chapter in my life. The thought of entering adulthood is terrifying however on the other hand the little kid inside of me is so excited, counting down the days till I hit another milestone in my life. There are many filipino traditions but my favourite is the debut. A debut is celebration in which it celebrates a young women (age 18) or a young man (age 21) reaching the age of maturity. Unfortunately I will not be having a debut as I just want a simple get together but lucky for you guys I will be telling you a few things that I would have if I planned my own debut.
First thing when planning a debut is of course picking your dress. The dresses below are the dresses that Teen Queen, Kathryn Bernardo wore at her debut. Both dresses are simple but so elegant.

Another thing to plan out is the 18 roses and 18 treasures. 18 roses are 18 men that are important in the debutante's life and will dance with her whilst one by one giving her a rose till the debutante eventually has 18 in her hand. The first dance can be with the father of the debutante however if the debutante hasn't got an escort/ boyfriend then the father can have the last dance. The last dance is usually with the most important man of the debutante's life.
After the 18 roses comes the 18 treasures or 18 candles. The 18 treasures like the 18 roses are 18 important women in the debutante's life. One by one the 18 treasures take to the stage next to the debutante and give a speech. The speech usually consists of saying how the debutante has grown up to be a mature beautiful young lady and saying how much they love her. Below is a cute little idea of how the debutante's guests can leave a beautiful message for the young lady.
