Black forest Cake





Hey Guys,

I have a quick black forest gateau recipe for you inspired by Mary Berry. Lets go.

Ingredients:
6 large eggs
150g caster sugar
100g Self raising flour
50g cocoa powder

For the filling and topping:
A jar of black cherries jam (390g)
750ml double cream, whipped

Decoration:
100g white chocolate
100g milk chocolate
Strawberries

Method:
-Preheat the oven to 180C and line 2 cake tins
-Break the eggs into a mixing bowl and add the sugar. Whisk then sift in the flour and cocoa powder
-Bake for 25-30 minutes then cool
-For the filling open the black cherries and spread in between the layers of the cake. Ensure that the cake is fully cooled before you begin this step. Whip the cream and spread over the whole cake.
-If you have some cherries left over place on the top of the cake like a nest.
-Melt some white chocolate and milk chocolate in separate bowls. 
-Dip your strawberries into the chocolate and place on the cake. Decorate in any way you want
