Cookies and Cream Donuts

Hey Guys,

Firstly I want to say, Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there; whether you are a soon to be father or use to be father, I hope you all have a great day. For the children that are reading this, get up and greet your father or continue reading for a great bake to give to your dad.

To make these you will need:
-Crushed Oreos
-2 Cups of Plain Flour
-1 Cup Sugar
-2 teaspoons Baking Powder
-1 teaspoon of Salt
-1 Cup of Double Cream
-2 eggs
-1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
-4 tablespoons of Melted Butter

For the Topping:
-1/4 Cup of Double Cream
-1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
-1 Cup of Icing Sugar
-1/2 Cup of Crushed Oreos

To make:
-Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius and layout some greaseproof paper on some baking trays.
-Crush some Oreos but not too crushed as you still want some bits to chew on, and put this to the side.
-Sift together in a large bowl all the dry ingredients, in another bowl combine the cream, eggs, vanilla extract and butter.
-Once fully mixed; fold the wet ingredients into the dry. Once fully combined fold in the Oreo pieces.
-Put them onto the prepared baking tray as even circles, evenly distributed on the tray and place into the oven.
-Bake for 10-12 minutes.
-Let the donuts cool, whilst doing this prepare the topping.
-To make the topping, whisk together the cream, vanilla extract and icing sugar.
-When the donuts are finally cool, dip them into the topping mixture and then sprinkle some crushed Oreos.
-And finally give it to your dad and see the smile that will be on his face.

I hope this helps you a little bit; especially if you don't have a present for your dad. But always remember it's not about the presents it's about the thought and time you spend with them. Time is the greatest gift you can give any person on any occasion. So treasure every moment and be grateful for that time they have given to you.
Happy Father's Day again to all dads out there.

Have a lovely day.
~JJ~
