DAY 22 | Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies

DAY 22!

Hey Guys,

I got a #JustDessert for you and this is one of my literal faves. They are so easy to do, like look so cute and they taste gooood. Christmas in literally a couple of days so to squeeze this in makes me really excited. Lets get right into it.

Ingredients:
-1 cup butter
-1 cup icing sugar
-1 large egg
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon almond extract
-3 cups plain flour
-3 tablespoons cocoa powder
-1 teaspoon milk if needed

Method:
-Cream together the butter and sugar till it is at frosting consistency.
-Add the egg and extracts ensuring all is mixed well.
-Sift the flour and mix well.
-Half the mixture and place into two bowls.
-In one bowl sift in the cocoa powder
-You may want to add the same amount of tbsp of flour into the bowl with no cocoa powder to make it easier to mould.
-Add milk to both or neither if you feel it is not too sticky but it is knead-able.
-Place into the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- After an hour or so take them out of the fridge, preheat the oven to 175C and roll the dough into shape. Once you have many sticks of the dough you want to take one of each and twist them together.
-Place onto a baking tray that has greaseproof paper and bake for 10 minutes.
-Leave to cool and harden and enjoy.

Hope you enjoyed that I would love to see you recreate them, just send them to my social media. Don't forget to order your JNB Apparel, the apparel for a cause.
Do check it out below and I will see you tomorrow.
